I should have explain there use, these are for screen printing on shirts.
The reason that the Studebaker was solid (and this one should be) in addition to the explanation on that thread is that dot gain (the amount of ink that bleeds when screened) will turn the art muddy.

The details have to be limited due to being put on fabric and being able to hold the image when shooting a screen (exposure).

I hear you about the detail and I will post and image that I created to see how close I could get to the photo.

The erratic behavior of the shading is due to a tree that caused the dimensional angles in the shading.
The reflections on vehicles are caused by the environment that it is in.
The more polished the paint the more it reflects like a mirror.
I didn’t want to outline the tires because I wanted to bring attention to the wheels and show how low the truck rides.
However, I will keep in mind all the suggestions for my next illustration.
